Abstract: The article focuses on finding the semantic connections in the poems by Verner von Heidenstam, selected by Wilhelm Stenhammar, and uniting the poems into a single entity by means of music. The authors have analyzed all the poems of the cycle and reconstructed the cycle's lyrical storyline. The authors have revealed the peculiarities in the musical interpretation of the poetic text in terms of their existence in the romantic tradition.

Abstract: The article covers the aspects related to genre-specific forms and their interpenetration through the example of spiritual poems and icons dedicated to St. Lazarus. Particular attention is paid to the issue of traditions related to the pre-Christian basis of folk culture, and to the basics of the Russian medieval worldview.

Abstract: This paper is devoted to the activities of the Austrian-American composer Ernst Krenek (1900–1991) in the framework of Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music. The article covers the history of Krenek’s relations with the leaders of the courses, traces the reception of his compositions in Western Europe, outlines the principles of organizing individual serial compositions, reveals the reasons for his alienation and the final break in relations with the Kranichstein Music Institute.

Abstract: The article discusses some specific features of the work of the pianist-accompanist with the singer through the example of studying the “Four Seasons of Our Motherland” vocal cycle by the Chinese composer Zheng Qiufeng. The analysis of the main activities of the pianist during the implementation of this creative project – pedagogical work with the vocalist, independent work on the piano part and joint work on the interpretation – is carried out. A number of practical recommendations for studying and performing the cycle are given.
